Getting Into Marketing By Doing It
I got into marketing by actually doing the work. I don’t just rely on theory—I focus on practical application, building funnels, and testing campaigns. Right now, I am focused on stepping into a dedicated growth marketing role where I can apply what I have learned from running my own operations.
In 2025, I launched and managed a solo D2C apparel brand, InnerGlowTees. I built the Shopify storefront, handled on-page SEO, set up email flows, and ran targeted Meta ads on Instagram. Using a ₹20K budget, I acquired my first 40 paying customers. They were small numbers, but owning the full funnel taught me exactly how copywriting and paid social work when my own money is on the line.
Practical Design & Video Work
I spent over a year and a half as a freelance graphic designer for ProfoundPrints. I designed over 1,000 book covers and interior layouts, working directly with authors to hit strict production deadlines. I specialize in turning feedback into revised, print-ready concepts in Adobe Photoshop within 24 to 48 hours.
I also edit short and long-form video using Premiere Pro and After Effects, handling motion graphics, color, and sound. For social-first vertical content, I build edits strictly around retention—focusing on strong visual hooks in the first three seconds and tight pacing throughout. I never rely on assumptions. I study what works, test multiple hooks, and let the data tell me when an edit fails so I can iterate, adjust, and try again.
Growth Marketer & Creative Builder
Here is the software I use to get the work done. I have spent a lot of time in Adobe Photoshop designing covers for clients, and I use Premiere Pro and After Effects for my video edits. On the marketing side, my experience with Meta Ads and Shopify comes directly from building and running my own store. I am always learning, but I know how to use these tools to execute and build things that actually work.
